The Rogelli Stryde winter jacket is designed for cyclists who want to stay comfortable throughout their rides on cold days. With a temperature range of 0°C to 10°C, it is an excellent choice for winter rides, chilly mornings in spring and autumn, and cold days when you simply want to keep cycling. The Dynashield 5000 fabric on the front and sleeves protects against the cold and wind, and the soft fleece lining keeps the warmth in. The Dynatherm Flex fabric at the back moves smoothly with you, so you will not experience any fabric pulling while in the cycling position.
With a Race fit, the jacket hugs your body for a sporty look with plenty of freedom of movement. While the elasticated cuffs seal the sleeves tightly around your wrists, the silicone grip at the waist keeps the jacket securely in place. Three back pockets with reflective piping provide ample storage space and increases your visibility in low light.
Will you choose the Rogelli Stryde or the Rogelli Element? The Stryde is suitable for temperatures between 0°C and 10°C and has a lightweight, striking design with stylish stripes. The Element covers a lower temperature range, from -5°C to 5°C, and features a heavier insulation layer of 240g/m² as well as a 2-way autoblock zip and a waterproof back pocket with a concealed zip. In temperatures below freezing, the Rogelli Element jacket is the better choice; for milder winter days and the transitional season, the Stryde jacket is lighter and not so warm.
Dynashield 5000 fabric with a fleece lining
The Stryde's front and sleeve panels are made from Dynashield 5000, a windproof fabric with a fleece lining for warmth. The AQUABLOC coating protects against road spray and light rain and is CO2- and PFAS-free. The combination of wind resistance and fleece makes this jacket suitable for colder winter days without it feeling heavy or bulky.
Dynatherm Flex back panel
The back panel is made from Dynatherm Flex, a stretch fabric made from recycled polyester with elastane. Thanks to its higher stretch, the fabric moves with your pedalling action, greatly improving comfort on longer rides. This panel also has an AQUABLOC water-repellent coating, which is CO2- and PFAS-free.
Reflective piping and silicone grip
The reflective piping is positioned on the back pockets, exactly where car headlights hit you from behind. The silicone grip in the elasticated waistband keeps the jacket in place so that your lower back is always fully covered while cycling.
Ideal for:
- Temperatures between 0°C and 10°C – winter rides, chilly mornings and the transitional seasons;
- Riders looking for a sporty jacket with a Race fit and a stylish striped design;
- Riders looking for a jacket with three back pockets for their essentials without the extra weight of a heavily insulated jacket.
Not suitable for:
- Temperatures below 0°C with severe frost – for such conditions, you will need a more heavily insulated jacket;
- Persistent rain – the AQUABLOC coating protects against splashes and light rain but is not fully waterproof, so in heavy rainfall you should wear a rain jacket over it;
- Riders who prefer a looser fit – since the Race fit is close-fitting, you should choose the next size up if you want to be able to wear an extra layer underneath.
Not sure about the size? Here’s how to check:
Measure your chest circumference at the widest point and your waist circumference at the narrowest point. Select your size in the order box based on these measurements. The Race fit is close-fitting; if you want to be able to wear a base layer underneath, choose the larger size for sufficient room.
How to keep your Stryde cycling jacket in good condition
- Wash on a cold cycle and inside out: Select a cold cycle and place the jacket inside out in the washing machine to protect the AQUABLOC coating and the fleece lining.
- Use a mild detergent: Do not use a bio-detergent or fabric softener. Fabric softener will damage the water-repellent coating and flatten the fleece.
- Do not bleach or dry-clean: Both will damage the coating and the recycled polyester.
- Line-dry: Do not tumble dry because heat damages the coating and the fleece lining.
- If the AQUABLOC coating loses its water-repellent effect over time, it does not mean the coating has disappeared; it has simply been flattened by use and washing. Gently ironing it at a low temperature through a dry cloth may reactivate the coating. Check the care label first.
- Pair the Stryde jacket with windproof cycling legwear. In temperatures between 0°C and 10°C, the Dynashield 5000 fabric is warm enough for the upper body, but your legs also need protection in strong winds.
- Put a pair of gloves and/or a windbreaker into a back pocket in case the temperature drops during your ride. If it’s 0°C at the start of a ride, it may get cooler later in the day.
